Day 1 + 2

Namaste! Welcome to our blog, coming to you live from Delhi for the very first time.

After many hours on buses, planes and taxis we have settled in to the Legend Inn in the heart of Delhi.

We sang non stop on the bus to Dublin performing our own renditions of Mamma Mia and Wonderwall. We stocked up on beef at Dublin at Burger King, before boarding our first flight to Heathrow. A quick trip to WH Smith and we were soon on our main flight to Delhi, each as excited as the other. Battling to get an hour or so of sleep, we touched down in India some 9 hours later, all in disbelief we were actually there! After reclaiming our luggage, we experienced our first taxi journey, where we all had our eyes opened to the questionable driving style in India (when we weren't actually sleeping!).

It's fair to say mirror, signal, manoeuvre is not high on their priority list! After an hour or so of rest at the Legend Inn we went out for some retail therapy to buy our Indian clothes.

To finish off a crazy two days we treated ourselves to some pizza! We're so excited to get started tomorrow at the Asha polyclinic ! But now it's time for bed!

Goodnight,
Bethan, Zak and Aimee
